I noticed Retro Fitness has their own racks, which was easy since their building is far off of the NCDOT corridor.
If anyone knows the owners of the Person Street Plaza, maybe see if they can do the same thing. (Would probably help their parking shortage!) Their building is far off enough from the NCDOT corridor that they should be able to install something too, just like Retro did.
(And Krispy Kreme should be able to do the same thing, I would think, Goodness knows they got the money to do it!)
And then if the city could just get one on Pace on the side of PieBird and then another on Pace beside The Station restaurant, then the whole area should be pretty much set for good bike rack supply, right? And it can all be done without having to beg NCDOT for access on their right of way. Win-win!
