What began as car break-ins and package thefts quickly escalated when an individual entered the backyard of a residence where two children were playing, asked who was home, and demanded food. Once the children were inside, the adult at the residence attempted to get the individual to leave the property but he demanded that be let inside to wash his clothes. When this request was denied, two knives were pulled and more demands made. With news of this, neighbors were ready to act."
