Johnson Avenue in Lake Ronkonkoma is split between the Town of Islip and the Town of Brookhaven. Town of Islip DPW crew has repaired potholes at above location on the Islip portion. On your behalf I have forwarded your concerns to the Town of Brookhaven Highway Department for their review and resolution.

Take a look at this disaster, which is only getting worse by the minute with no crew showing up to fix it yet (contrary to Ms. Mollet's claim).

Islip DPW crews did repair potholes within the Islip township (Johnson Avenue west of Pond Road). Please be advised east of Pond Road towards the train station is Brookhavens responsiblity. On your behalf I contacted Brookhaven Highway Department for their review and resolution.

Chris: Was the pot hole you're referring to fixed, or on your the Brookhaven side?

Carl - I was mistaken regarding which pot hole Ms. Mollet was referring to, and she set me straight on that. The one I was writing about, on the Brookhaven side, was patched on Wednesday (although it'll probably only last a week, since it's a temporary cold patch), but I'm still dismayed by the way the road crew just shoved the big chunks of asphalt onto the shoulder, creating a general eyesore and a hazard for pedestrians and an annoyance for nearly homeowners.
