This is a duplicate report. Per Duke Energy, the excessive height of these poles will require a specialized bucket truck to be utilized by a repair crew. This may have been reported twice but not by me it was by Anonymous. The bigger problem is that it was reported 8/25/13. Going on 60 days and my case was closed. I think if the City of Raleigh, Duke Energy, Raleigh Police Dept. cares about high crime areas they would work a little harder at resolving these kind of issues. The last time I reported a large amount of lights out on Raleigh Blvd I was told it was in the wiring and guess what?...case closed?!

There are approx 10 lights out still on Capital Blvd from approx Spring Forest Rd to Sumner Blvd

Street lights in the City are maintained by Duke Energy- Progress. We have reported this issue to them. You can expect that the repairs will be made within 1-3 weeks. You can also notify Progress Energy directly in case of a streetlight outage:

Per Public Works, now that brighter LED street light fixtures are available, a request has been sent to Duke Energy Progress to change out all street light fixtures in the Mini City area. This should resolve most, if not all of the malfunctioning street light issues. Any remaining issues would most likely require underground repair work. Depending on DEP’s schedule, this may take 2-3 months to complete.
