about 10 years ago a homeowner on Peeler Rd next to Brook Run planted a malignant bamboo in his front yard and dumped excess bamboo behind his fence in back yard onto brook run property, This highly invasive plant (it does not even need to be planted to take hold ) has metastazied into the park. New growth has spread even under a crusher run path. If nothing is done bamboo will take over the park!
