This is still an active issue. As I look out the window with heavy rain,the Henderson street river is running! During the snow, ice forms thick as 3-4 inches due to mis alignment. Thanks for looking into this.

Good morning Lauren,

I am so sorry this issue has yet be resolved. According to my information from the Assistant Water & Sewer Superintendent we're waiting on a contractor from Eversource to fix this roadway as they dug it up this past spring. He is reaching out to the Engineering Division to ask the Street Permit Inspector to get us an ETA on when Eversource plans to fix this roadway. Typically they do their repairs in the Spring/Summer time.

If any more updates come my way I will update this thread accordingly.

still no action-frozen water running down the street

Hello,

Most likely paving won't be done till the spring as it is too cold to pave. This issue is on the W/S Department's radar and they are actively working to resolve the issue.

i still have high hopes this will be fixed in the spring-the ice has once again pooled along the side of the street where the basins are not aligned correctly

not fixed as yet-it was clear over the winter the alignment still creates ++ ice buildup since the water flow isn't lined up

I'm not sure how we get action on this . now more than two + years old. every rain (or snow) there is a river or ice trail down the even side of Henderson starting at Oakcrest. The drains were not aligned properly when installed. It has led to cracks and raising of the street. it will certainly get worse without being addressed. please keep in mind, many of us paid enormous amounts of $$ for this "betterment"
when the street changed from private to public. Not a good look, town of Needham.
