Four years later, still there and much worse. The last two winters especially have really destroyed this section of the road... there are massive potholes in both lanes. PennDOT crews come out every once in a while and patch them but they just open up again a few days later. The whole road really needs to be torn up and repaved between Limekiln Pike and Stump Road.
The worst pothole is 10 feet south of the Limekiln/Chestnut intersection: almost 2-feet long, a foot wide, by half a foot deep. Please do at least a short-term fix until a long-term solution is possible.
Just gets worse and worse, despite continuous patching (which doesn't appear to have happened yet this year). Obviously this stretch of road needs to be repaved, and really should be widened to two lanes each direction for the entire stretch between 611 and 309. You can't drive through there without swerving around like a drunk.
