Descrizione

Every morning (including Saturday and Sunday) I am woken up by revele and a boisterous rendition oof the Star Spangled Banner. I'm as patriotic as the next guy but not EVERYONE in the neighborhood needs to wake up at 7:30am!!!

I agree. This is a new practice by the Navy Housing administration that is imposing upon its neighbors.

Is there anyway to find out who to complain to? I called Navy Housing and they were not helpful at all!

Agreed, revele and taps ever day are somewhat imposing. However, the testing of their emergency system which sounds an alarm and message every ten minutes for hours on end has me wishing I had a bazooka to hunt speakers with!

Can the Saratogian correct the location of the issue on the map. The original complaint was from Glenwood not Glenmoore. More people might comment if they can find point.

Sorry, my fault...couldn't click my exact location for whatever reason but I bet the bugles could be heard on Glenmoore too!

It's coming from the CDTA Saratoga Springs Train Station. I just posted this on their Facebook page:

Dear CDTA, PLEASE turn down the volume of your Public Address System at the Saratoga Springs Train Station. I live over 300 yards away and should NOT be awakened by the National Anthem every day. My neighbors agree and have complained to SeeClickFix.com. There is NO excuse for your public address system being heard over 300 yards away. Please resolve this issue before I have to call City Hall.

little update....It's definitely coming from Navy Housing. I spoke with Lt Dory at Naval Support (518-886-0200) who pretty much told me there was nothing I could do about this blaring noise (in a very nice, respectful way). If we can get enough people to call an bother him, maybe we can at least get the volume turned down. Interestingly enough, I didn't hear it this AM

I don't live close enough to Navy Housing to hear it, what I am hearing is the Public Address system from the Saratoga Springs Train Station. I am a little dumbfounded that the Navy Housing is getting away with this noise issue near you. I would say call the Mayor but I don't know if he'll do anything since he's about to leave office in less than 2 months. You should reach out to the company that owns the Navy Housing property, if the issue arises again.

Bugling has stopped but PA system is still way to loud. I live over 150 yards away and I should not be hearing it.
