This is an issue all over town. Homeowners need to take responsibility for the upkeep of their property and this includes the sidewalk in front of their homes. Maybe a system of warnings and fines needs to be established to prod these people into action.

I do agree, to an extent. I have noticed Randolph Department of Public Works cutting grass and trimming weeds along some sidewalks of streets in the areas behind the Randolph High School, and along those streets that run behind the High School. Lot's of pretty flower plantings in that area, on most abutting streets. Who lives there, that gets that extra attention?

I would like to point out that I payed to have my front sidewalk repaved, a few years ago, (as my sidewalk was dangerously uneven) same time I had my driveway re-paved. But my sidewalk has been damaged by vehicles parking for funerals at the Cartwright Funeral Home.
