This ditch is needed for drainage. It was installed at the request of the school and building owners in the area. Installation was conducted to ensure minimal impact as possible to the field.. You will note from this aerial photo that the ditch connects to underground storm systems that take water away from the area. I have spoken with my principal and we are wondering if perhaps the ditch has sunk and just needs a little filling. It's really a hindrance for the children playing soccer and, to be honest, they don't because it's too deep. I don't really understand how this is a transportation issue. Also, the basketball nets were removed from the basketball court (5 were taken, 1 is left). Will those nets be returned? They would really help us with supervision! :)
