  It’s increased within the last two months, first, one, then two tents, and they bring more garbage, stench (they must crap in boxes/bags—smell is foul). They throw litter in the water — it’s sad and disgusting at the same time.

  Especially with the COVID-19 threat, homeless persons and their belongings should all be removed and the area cleaned. Move some into hotels or abandoned properties, including abandoned or unused vans or RVs. Let''s see the City of Berkeley step up efforts to place people into decent housing that is safe for them and the rest of us.
