Downtown Huntsville is not a fun place to be. Cities like Vancouver and Portland have night fairs during the spring and summer with music, pick up and eat food from vendors, and lots of small booths lining the sidewalks selling almost anything you can imagine. As the evening goes on, the food stays and the booths close but the music goes on. Goal is to make city more attractive to young professionals.

Also change the laws so people can get a draft beer in a plastic cup and walk around downtown with it. Police would have to keep an eye out for minors getting the beer, but no sense in ruining everyone else's fun just because a handful might take advantage. Or better yet, have a curfew for people under 21 after say 10PM.

Can't think of a city with a successful night fair that allows liquor on the street. I certainly would be opposed.

I agree with you. I'm from San Diego, CA and this city also has night fairs. Also, there are more famous band artists such as Green Day, The Offspring, Garth Brook, DJ Tiesto, etc. Since so many people are relocated to Huntsville and Madison County, Downtown Huntsville should have a better nightlife.
