Description

Harassment by at least 2 and possibly 3 Oakland, CA parking enforcement officers is taking place on the block of 555 10th St. among other areas around this block. Between 9th St. and 10th St., Jefferson St. and Clay St., as well as 8th St. between Broadway and Clay St. areas.

I have received 3 tickets from them in the past 3 months that are very explainable and explained in my defense. One citation has since been erased (first one, located on 8th and Washington area), another second citation will hopefully soon be erased for the very same reason but only because I reported it (I use an App called Park Mobile, which has proven my parking was paid for). The first citation was dismissed back in November I believe. The second citation was created on 02/10/2020 at 12:55 pm 2 days ago, 15-20 minutes after I parked. The same goes for the 3rd citation. It was created around 15 minutes after I parked.

I just received yet another citation today (the 3rd citation), which is dated 02/12/2020 at 12:52 pm. The officer states on the ticket "Vin not visible", which is incorrect as seen by other falsified and forged tickets these people have given, as my vin number is extremely visible, no obstructions, they state an incorrect address, an address that doesn't exist, they don't state why the ticket was issued other than "Residential Parking" 10.44.120A.

I had parked my vehicle in a 2 hour zone, "except permit J", at exactly 12:30 pm today. I get back to my car at exactly 2:00 pm (only 1 hour and 30 minutes later), and there was a citation on my windshield. I was parked away from a red zone, at least 1" away, the curb where I was parked had no other colors, and you know the rest. It is not a "Residential only" parking zone if that is what they would use as an excuse.

If my contestment of the 3rd citation I received is denied, and potentially before a decision is made on that, I will be showing up at the Frank Ogawa Plaza in Oakland before a presiding Judge and will be asking for an investigation of these officers and "Harassment" will be a key word in my defense.

The very fact that I am forced to write this in extreme detail should never have to happen, and I should not have to be defending myself in court against harassing parking enforcement officers, but this is what it has come to.

I highly suggest and ask that your entity (311) shed light on this issue and to investigate this issue and to tell the proper authorities to shed light and investigate this issue, to make sure this does not happen again (Parking Enforcement).

I will not be displaying the citation numbers for personal privacy reasons.

To be clear as I understand, I am not here to contest the citations as I have already done so. I am here to state that I am being harassed by parking enforcement officers and that it must stop immediately upon investigation. Additionally, I may not be the only person who is being harassed around here, and that should very much be taken into account as well.
