Real people ride bikes, esp. along the path from decatur to stone mt. By real people, I mean, those with means to buy homes, invest in real estate, join neighborhood associations, and to vote.
I am 63 years of age and been cycling since 2003, including
5 bike rides across georgia.
Hope that local officials can have a look at this and ask
the County or Clarkston to provide some signage recognizing the bike, especially at potential hazardous locations.

A PATH sign and a "Pedestrian crossing" and/or "Bicycle crossing" signs with crossing painted on pavement could help. Anything visual. This is terribly dangerous with limited visibility at top of ramp

Gardner, I am a member of the newly formed Clarkston Active Living Committee and recently heard that the Path Foundation has obtained funds to repair and improve the path from Decatur to Stone Mountain.

It is my understanding that they are very much aware of the safety problem at the bridge crossing over 285 and are even considering a separate bridge for cyclists and pedestrians. Not sure when they will begin work.

I-285 & Church St Path to St.Mt.:
I note that CSX has recently installed( on RR Property near a RR crossing, ) a 3 ft white fence of posts & cable 2 ft+/- close to the curb of an already hellaciously dangerous westbound passage opposite a car repair shop,etc.
and a big sign about tresspassing. Good fences make good neighbors???

New sign request are handled by Traffic Engineering. I will open a service request for Traffic Engineering who will validate your request and have installed if needed. A field investigation will be conducted to determine if this is within engineering guidelines. If it is found that your request can be fulfilled, work orders must be prepared and forwarded to the Sign Shop to make and install the required signs. This request could take up to 40 business days.
