I did not say anyone died. I said this is a big problem and if not fixed there could be deaths. I am just trying to be proactive instead of reactive. You say that if people "do the speed limit" and are "kind", its not so bad. Your words. That's a lot to ask of people because, Well, I live in a world of very hostel drivers all wanting to get where they are going. Pull off the side of the road or walk to that area, and watch for 6 mins next time your passing by. People fly on that road, with no Kindness at all. So if putting in a stop sign is too "much" for you and would "slow traffic down" so much, than I am sorry for you, that taking 5 seconds to stop at a sign takes to much time out of your day to prevent a tragedy !!!

May as well make the speed limit 20 and put flashing yellow lights everywhere to "prevent a tragedy." Should also make sure people stop jogging, riding their bikes and walking their dogs there to "prevent a tragedy."

I asked how many accidents have been at that intersection in the past 10 years. The traffic itself doesn't warrant a stop sign, so if you can (factually) tell me there has been a lot of accidents at that intersection maybe I'd agree. But, with there not being a traffic flow issue, and no proven issue with accidents... no real reason for a stop sign.

Your right. Lets find out where all the stop signs and traffic lights are in the county, and if no one has died there, we will have the county take them out becouse they are only there to prevent a tragedy, and since something hasnt happend, ohhh well ... then and only then can we put up a traffic light or stop sign!!!

No, they are there to keep the flow of traffic moving safely, and expediently. You don't just stick up stop signs or stop lights "just because something may happen". May as well throw them up on every rural road because a deer could jump out. May as well put them on the boundaries of every school since a kid may run out. Also, at every place a snowmobile trail crosses a road.. throw them up there as well.

Why not put one up at Northern Pines and Gailor? Northern Pines and Carr? Jones and Carr? Could be a tragedy at each of those, and in fact I believe there has been more accidents at at least one of those than the one you want a stop sign at.

What about just a larger sign on Gailor at the existing stop sign that says "NOBODY ELSE STOPS!! YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY!!"

The appropriate officials have been notified about this issue. It might be helpful to the city if others supported this issue and helped to notify the Department of Transportation or Public Works.

I'll make sure to call/email and say it's unwarranted. Nobody here has actually stated what the "issue" is.
