One of several sitings in the last month, this one I happened to catch on camera (4/29/11). Dog crossed the road and a car had to swerve to avoid hitting him.

WHEN WILL ANYONE DO ANYTHING ABOUT THIS DOG'S OWNER?

Several people have politely attempted to speak with the owner only to be met with anger and he refuses to keep his dog locked up.

It's not just the dog's life at stake here. If someone dies because they swerved their vehicle to avoid the dog, then what happens? A life lost is a life lost. Sorry to be angry in this post, but the surrounding neighborhood is sick of this owner and his belligerence.

6:38 pm, 5/9/11: people driving fast down the street on their way homes and there's the dog again, walking into traffic unsupervised, crapping all over while the owner looks on and doesn't clean up after the animal.

1/31/2012 Nothing has changed. I saw this dog wandering in the street today for the hundredth time.

Saw this dog yesterday. The house on the corner is for sale and it went to the bathroom on the sidewalk in front. No owner in sight, no one cleaned it up.

The also have three small dogs. One of them, a white poodle of some sort can get out of a hole in the driveway and THIS ONE bites, charges, and basically makes passing the property difficult.

If the dog had reached skin (I was wearing pants), they'd be minus one dog, and sued. How many dogs are you allowed to have? They have four now.

I'm sad to report that this dog was found poisoned this morning. The owners have their suspicions, but no official knowledge of who might have done it. "Sam" as he was called was a neighborhood icon, regardless of his nuisance barking, he didn't deserve an ending like this. I'm personally upset with the owners for not guaranteeing their dog's safety as he was an outside dog 24/7, but I guarantee that we, the animal lovers of this neighborhood, will seek out justice should evidence make an appearance on this quiet little noisy street in EHO.
