Thank you for your prompt acknowledgement! I am a frequent visitor to PMA with significant mobility issues. It is not, however the first time I have taken a tumble on bricks in the city. That is on me however for not reporting it. I tend to blame myself because I have fused joints and am unable to function sometime like average people. My concern is that the last time was this past spring and the fall was in front of the entrance to the elderly housing in Washington square where the Christmas tree lighting takes place. That resulted in medical treatment because of a pre-existing medical condition that required cortisone shots to the knee and rotator cuff! I won't tell you the names I thought of calling people when they injected my shoulder though, I might be arrested! This is never ever ever going to be about anything other than fixing the issues. I am a member of Team Haverhill and the Portland street playground project. I am also active with Community Action in various ways and am proud of this city. I want people to come and love what they see, but in my mind Washington Square is somewhat of an embarrassment. I can say with confidence it has to be well known by officials and people in the know because I see them down in the area all the time. I am in Newburyport and Portsmouth all the time where there is quite a bit of brick pavement and have yet to have that sort of an issue, ever! So, that being said, thank you again for acknowledging the problem! I want this city to have the same type of reputation so please help me! Yours truly, A Very Squeaky Wheel. :)
