Description
Given that the new bridge will not be open until 2014, is there a remote possibility of opening a pedestrian walkway. The current detours involve a long distance on foot, traversing either of two non illuminated bridges. A small footbridge through the construction site would really benefit those in the area who do not drive and help to open up both sides of upper State.

This is a CTDOT project. To make this kind of request, you need to call into the District 3 office at Pond Lilly because the state does not monitor SeeClickFix. I believe they also plan on holding another public information meeting sometime in mid November, which may be worth attending. Details will be published in the New Haven Register in the next few weeks.
For now this issue will remain open, but moved to category "Other" since it is a State issue. This is to help us better manage the volume of posts to the site.
