The site distance for people on Burke Road trying to pull out to go north on Rt. 100 is severely impacted by the angle of the roadway and the shrubs that haven't been properly trimmed back.
HEy BB im just saying this as someone who has been in the area for 18 years, but its not bad if u creep out enough to see around. Yes i do agree its horrible angle and shrubs not cut back but its managable. Now im going to ask you this as well. Are you going to want to see your tax money doing that beacuse if they do put a light in, it will become West Goshen Townships problem to maintain and replaces things as needed. Also are you going to complain about having to wait when trying to leave or are you going to be happy sitting there for 10+ minutes burning the fuel that costs 3.75/gallon?
Please, please, please put a light here! It is absolutely a crash in the making. Turning left is a huge problem (especially when the car behind you pulls up next to you to turn right... now you can't see from the left OR the right. I've nearly gotten killed there several times because people fly on Rt. 100. It's a horrible turn. I've started going all the way around on Grove Road to Boot to 100, or Grove to Sunset Hollow to Rt. 100.. It's a huge inconvenience for me and other drivers since it's out of the way and those areas get ridiculously crowded. I wonder if anyone ever even reads these Click-its and does anything about it... I just noticed this was posted 7 months ago. What a waste.
This is a difficult intersection at normal times, and with Pierce Middle School just a few hundred yards down Burke Road, this is a nightmare at school rush hour and work rush hour. As noted, with the speed of traffic on Pottstown Pike, it would be a shame to wait for a tragedy before this problem is addressed.
There is a light at Burke and Boot Rd. So I would think a light should be at Burke Rd and Rt100. Rt 100 is a heavily traveled road and has a higher speed limit compared to Boot Rd.
