Description
The old sidewalk was removed, years ago, at the lower end of Bretton Road as you walk toward Highland Avenue. Pedestrians are, now, forced to leave the sidewalk and walk in the traffic at the most treacherous part of that road. The same issue exists on Highland Avenue near the intersection of Highland Terrace.

I would love to live in a city that is pedestrian friendly. Just because I have a car doesn't mean I should drive it everywhere! Unfortunately, I frequently drive my car to nearby places simply because I feel that there are not enough safe walkways in Middletown. It's such a waste, and it makes the traffic more annoying than it needs to be.
Encouraging walking within cities is a simple way to reduce the use of resources. It is also a contributing factor in solving America's obesity issue.
