It can and will get bigger and then it becomes a tree that you have to have removed. Try to get rid of it now.

No one ever came to resolve this issue, though obviously right now it's not as visible since the leaves are dead in the winter. The roots and bones of the weeds/trees remain and will be back in full force in the spring. Seems like when the snow melts would be a good time to address. Thanks!
