What used to be exclusively a turning lane into Latham Farms now has been changed into an entrance lane to the Northway going north and a turning lane into Latham Farms. Problem is it can't be both. A car waiting at the light to go onto the Northway blocks any one trying to turn into Latham Farms. A car in the right lane of Rt. 7 wishing to turn onto the Northway then has a car on its left side trying to the same Northway entrance and has to cross the bike lane to do so. There is a confusion of arrows here that could be deadly in the future. I suggest you keep the turning lane only a turning lane and keep the right lane of Rt. 7 for the turn onto the Northway going north. THE BIKE LANE WILL ALWAYS BE DANGEROUS.

You're right, this is a confusing setup which needs to be addressed. As good as this newly-designed interchange is, this is one major area whose design needs to be reconstructed. There have been many times when drivers have cut in front of me to try to get over to the right lane. This is very dangerous.
As far as I am concerned, there should be a separate entrance onto Erin Street (the Latham Farms entrance.)
The bicycle lane should also have a better design, so that bicyclists do not have vehicles whizzing past them on both sides.
