Still dangerous, no improvements. Line striping has not helped due to turning traffic behavior at intersections.

Perhaps Minneapolis could investigate mid-block crosswalks as a way to keep turning traffic out of the crossing equation.

Have now missed the bus 3 times because I could not cross busy traffic. I assume that this would be the story all the way up and down the street. The Minneapolis Pedestrian Master Plan suggests implementing both painted crosswalks and curb bumpouts for areas like this. Now that unmonitored traffic goes 40mph instead of 30, Peds that are hit have an 85% chance of dying rather than the 45% chance if hit at 30mph (see chart in Minneapolis Pedestrian Master Plan for stats, page 40, fig 3)
Minneapolis, how can we help implement these much needed changes? We'll never develop a culture of walking if we can't cross the street.

Agreed. This is made even more difficult when carrying a toddler across the busy street to catch the bus.

As this issue has already been open for 3 months, it would be wonderful if the request doesn't take "years to investigate and resolve".

A pedestrian crossing here would be a great benefit since there are no safe ways to cross between 42nd and 46th streets.

The steep hill and the cars parked on the street make it very difficult to cross the street easily. A pedestrian activated cross walk would be wonderful!
