I not for this BUT any Group Has the freedom to do this ! Be it WICCA/ISLAMIC /CHRISTIAN etc It is a free park Even the HOMELESS have freedom to trash it and have the tax payer clean it up!!Why not stop all walks and etc that is a freedom . Clean up the park ,get the homeless,beggers out and let the people that pay with taxes be able to enjoy it! JUST my op !

Speaking for Church in the Woods, We are always working with the unemployed people in the park to pick up trash, not just theirs but, to go the extra mile and pick up after others. We always leave the park clean after our meetings. It does not seem to last very long. But hopefully this will change as more people take ownership of this need. FYI on amplification, we have a permit for sound in the park. Any group, Islamic or otherwise is able to go to the police department and fill out a form and get a permit for sound. There is an ordinance against sound over 55 decibels without a permit. There are many groups who come to the park. The city has been very good about equal rights. Exclusive use of the park is given for a fee, but the public can all come and share the park otherwise. Community use of our parks is encouraged for all.

Downtown District Community Officers will work with the group to ensure that the proper permits are obtained if necessary.
