Shoulder is un-rideable at high speeds down this steep hill. Advised all riders on APL club ride I lead last night to ride in the main traffic lane when safe to merge there and ride on that surface for safety.

MD Bikeways state grant for Guilford Rd may address this area and problem.

How about having the street sweeper hit this area quarterly ? Maybe the street sweeper is already in the area covering the neighborhood next to this area. It is a short stretch of road with this problem, but heavily used by APL bike commuters. APL had 39 bike commuters this year on Bike To Work Day 2013, up from 28 last year.
