Description

Went for a walk to Harbor Park this Saturday around noon. Expected the tunnel to be open for access. Isn't this supposed to be open in the middle of the day?

There is signage located at both ends of the tunnel explaining winter hours, as well as alternate directions.
Mon-Fri, the tunnel is opened at 8am and closed at 2:30pm.
Sat-Sun, the tunnel is closed and on holidays.
These hours are in effect from Dec 1st to Feb 28th,of each year.

Why is the tunnel closed Saturday and Sunday? Harbor Park patron overflow uses the Mellili Way lot and uses the tunnel. Now all the drunks will be running across Rt. 9! Way to go City of Middletown!
