Same thing going on over here on Avenue B in Malta. Kids or young adults are shooting the fireworks right at houses. Last night they hit four, including mine.

It is a real cat and mouse game. They run away after each time, and as long as the police are here, they won't come back out, but as soon as the coast is clear, out they come again.

I happened to see this from my porch on West Ave last Saturday night and thought it was a professional show. This wasn't a couple of kids shooting off bottle rockets but a production that lasted at least 15 minutes. I had no idea where it was coming from but would have guessed it was Mingouges from where I sat.

I enjoyed it but then again it wasn't going off in my backyard either. How in the world could police not find it? It was like the Empire State Plaza show.

It's now 10:06PM on Thursday August 15, 2013 and the jerks on Tait Lane are at it again with 1 volley. Then again at 10:11PM with 3 volleys. Will the police ever get off their rear ends and investigate? Obviously by my reports they have an idea where and when the fireworks are happening. I think the problem is the Pub. Safety Commish who would rather waste money on a unnecessary 1 way street blocks from his dental office than on our police force. I have a suspicion that the last house on Tait Lane or their visitors are responsible as the other homes have always has quiet residents (for the last 10 years) but the last home is either a track rental or NAVY rental. There are always 4 to 8 cars parked by that house at the end of the street and it is a small 3 bedroom home. My report last Friday or Saturday appears not to have been approved by the SCF moderators but I am having the same issue on a weekly basis.

James and Monica Fredell are @ 16 Tait. If it is truly them who are setting these off, please ask them to stop. They are dangerously close to the rail line that is hauling the tanker trains.

The exact same trains that blew up in Canada, and one spark from those fireworks and we will have a Quebec style disaster in the city of Saratoga.

These trains are over 2 miles long, so no time is a good time to be lighting anything near that area.

Pardon me but the correct address should be 14 Tait Lane as that is the vacant lot.

I believe the tenants at 18 Tait Lane are responsible for the Fireworks.

If they are using the vacant lot, they have to be coming from somewhere. There are a lot of house that border that vacant lot.

I thought they were launcing from the area next to the railroad tracks. Is this not the case ?

Dear Guest, I live less than 50 yards from the vacant lot on Tait Lane. I am over on Allen Dr. I am 95% sure the fireworks are coming from the vacant lot on Tait Lane since I have seen the light that you get from the fireworks as they are lit and launched. The property behind that empty lot is another empty lot owned by Mr. McNeary. The property that sits besides the rail tracks is owned by D&H/CP Rail. A self-storage facility was originally planned for the lot on Tait Lane but that plan fell through due to the swampiness of the land. It has been growing wild vegetation for about 8 years now. I am very concerned that the fireworks could cause a fire on that property. I am also concerned because of the noise as it bothers me and my pets. I do not think that the people who are setting off the fireworks are regular full time residents of the area since it only appears to happen during the summer months and there is 1 home on Tait Lane that does not have full time year round residents and that is # 18.

I've done all I can. Hopefully this will stop soon, with summer coming to an end. A security camera or cameras for next year would be a good idea. If you can at least get them on video doing this, the police can find them and do something.

Funny thing is it's 7:52PM and not even dark out and the morons are already playing with fireworks. I won't dial 911 for them since I see 911 as a tool to get help when a major emergency is happening. I tried calling them once and complaining but it did nothing. I do hope that who ever is doing this is leaving soon and hopefully the property owners will not re-rent to them next summer.

I'm dumfounded. I am a reil fan, I love trains, since I could walk, loved to watch them. I can't get anywhere near that area without local, state, county and rail road police showing up within minutes. Why all of the agencies are tolerating this, I can't imagine. A guy watching trains takes priority. Next time they set off fireworks, call the police and tell them they are taking pictures of the trains. I bet they respond.

It's 10:22PM on 9/28/136 and the idiots on Tait Lane are playing with fireworks again. I think they were at it last night between 11PM and midnight but I had the windows closed so I am not 100% sure.

Here we are on the first really nice day of Spring 2014 and the idiots on Tait Lane are starting their fire cracker crap again freaking out my pets. At 10:08PM on 4/13/2014 I heard firecrackers going off in the empty field on Tait Lane. I would call the police but it appears the police can not be bothered with this matter since they never got off their behinds last year to even look into this issue. This never happened until the last house on that street was rented out to Military personnel. The only other homes on that street have been occupied by the same people since I moved to this neighborhood 11 years ago and this problem did seem to start until the past 2 years. In 2012 there were approx. 1 or 2 instances of fireworks coming from that location on Tait Ln. but it did not become a major hassle until summer of 2013. It only stopped becasue of the snow and now that that's gone it appears these people believe it's ok to go back to annoying their neighbors.
