Southbound 9th St traffic has a lane shift to the left while crossing Massachusetts Ave. The lane shift is usually unnoticed or ignored by cars in the left lane, causing near accidents when cars in the right lane shift over. The lines on the street are barely noticeable, and there is no sign as cars approach the intersection.
