Deskripsyon

The overgrowth of weeds next to the Darby Creek is spilling onto Burmont Ave and causing a visua hazard for drivers. Those not familiar with the road do not realize that immediately after the slight bend in the road (where the overgrowth is most prevalent), there is a traffic light (which usually has several cars stopped, because the Balt Pike traffic has the right of way for so long). It's only a matter of time before someone speeding down that road plows into the back of someone stopped at the light.

I agree. There is a huge hazard around this curve due to the overgrowth. Two recent examples include almost getting rear ended by an SUV coming too fast around the corner not realizing there was a pile of cars waiting at the light, and two, a group of children were riding their bikes in the middle of the road crossing the line into opposing traffic (stupid!) around that curve yesterday. We didn't see them until we were almost on top of them. It was a scary close call that could have partly been avoided by doing some simple maintenance.
