Mary, would you like to join our committee? We usually have a meeting once or twice a month at the Office of "The Neighborhood Developers" to plan events and to figure out a strategy to combat litter, drugs and public drinking in Chelsea. Currently, we have 8-10 active members and representatives from the city. We would love you to come on-board and express your thoughts/opinions and figure out a plan to annihilate the issues that you and I see every day. The more people that we get, the greater the impact we will have on the community.

Mary, sorry for taking so long to respond back. You can contact Melissa Walsh for more detail. She works at the Neighborhood Developer and she's the organizer of the committee. Currently, there's a neighborhood meet and greet this coming Thursday, Aug 1st between 6 and 8pm at the office if you want to grt to know some people in the neighborhood. I too would like to be part of a neighborhood committee. I'm tired of seeing my street & my city trashed all the time. Rich & the DPW Staff can only do so much and the city should be more tough on litter bugs. We've seen a recent Chelsea Record article where Ash warned the liquor store at Bellingham Square.

That's awesome. Thank you Mary and Anonymous for wanting to help. Were you guys able to successfully contact Melissa? If not, please tell me. I would like as many people as possible to join our force. Also, currently, we have a weekly Monday meeting at 6pm at the park in the box district. It's usually a short meeting then we do our crime watch where we walk around and write down any major issues. We also thinking about slipping the group so that one group does the cleaning while the other group can do the crime watch. Please try your best to contact Melissa.
