Thank you for contacting us with your concern. However, a 4-way stop must be warranted and the necessary warrants are not met at this intersection. What I can do is enhance the pavement markings, adding 24 inch stop bars and 25 feet of double yellow lines in the center of the intersecting streets. The enhanced pavement markings will alert drivers as to which legs of the intersection must stop, and which legs do not.

Anything will help. While I wish we could get a 4-way stop, I understand that certain conditions must be met. I just hope we aren't putting the children and others in harms way with this intersection over a couple hundred dollars in signs. People fly up and down Fairgreen trace and anything you can do to help bring attention to this only being a 2-way stop will help. Thank you for your time and quick response.
