I have to agree, that was in interesting response to the last ticket. I think what Nick is referring to is the dedicated bikeway on "N" Street, that cars are turning across on red, which they shouldn't. this might be better directed towards LTU.

I read the city's response to the other question referenced above. I am DUMBFOUNDED. I thought bicycles were not allowed on city sidewalks downtown! And if that changed, why do we have all those stupid gold plated bike lanes wasting valuable traffic space if bikes can ride on the sidewalks?

That was not the actual city's response. That is someone who made an account called City of Lincoln and then a long number. If you click on their profile you can see they are just another citizen making comments. For whatever reason, UPLNK lets regular people close issues

Yeah I can flag on the regular web site. Just did that on the other comment about that fake "official" account.

Yeah, I'm on desktop and can't find it anymore... in fact, voting for an issue is gone as well.

Both flagging and voting work fine for me via Safari on a Mac on the desktop site, for what it's worth.

I'm surprised "City of Lincoln" in any form is an allowed user name and how anyone can close a ticket.

I think they might be testing changes to their website and I was one of the lucky ones to be tested on... companies do it all the time :( .

We are not testing the website. We do not own the name "City of Lincoln," and yes, we do have a rouge publlic user that has figured out how to sometimes close an issue.

I am reporting those problems to the UPLNK vendor, SeeClickFix to see if we can remove the fake "City of Lincoln" poster and make sure all our buttons for flagging issues and voting are working correctly.

I am sending your questions about the red light to Traffic Engineering for a response from the real Lincoln Transportation & Utilities.

WOW....all this is intersting, and from a use using a CHROMEBOOK. I have had no issues or other special "powers" that I noticed. So that too can be passed on the the software developer and or vendor...

BTW......I GREATLY appreciate this website and the time city officials are spending with resolution of the issues. I see it as a GREAT TOOL. Perhaps time to put up a billboard announcing its existence to the rest of the city....Of course, you would likely need more manpower with all the additional "observations and complaints." But heh, isnt that what we are trying to accomplish (as a city). Dealing with issues. Time to talk to the NEW MAYOR and get her backing.

Thanks for reporting to the City of Lincoln. The original request a "No turn on Red" sign will be given to Traffic Staff to review and consider. Thanks to everyone for the commentary on this application. We appreciate the positive response to our efforts in assisting our citizens. Mayor Ombudsman is correct, an actual City of Lincoln Traffic Engineering Staff person will provide a response.

A work order has been sent to our sign shop requesting the installation of a NO TURN ON RED sign for the northbound to westbound movement at 14th Street and 'N' Street.
