Description

This light is less than a full block from the major intersection at Hennepin and Washington, and is the only light on Washington Avenue that does not have an overhead signal arm. People are not expecting a light this quickly and often simply do not notice it! Twice I've been walking in the crosswalk only to have a car blast through their red on Washington at a full 30 mph. When driving on Washington, I've also seen cars run this light without even slowing down. Either significant added enforcement is needed, or this light needs to be brought up to the standards of the other lights on Washington.
