116 Brunswick is a different building/issue that continues to leave loose trash out front. This is in regards to the recycling outside our building in a bin on the 2nd Street side as I stated that was not collected Thursday during pick up or Friday when I reported it on this app and called Public Works later in the afternoon.

According to the city’s own site garbage bags are still allowed and the ban on single use bags only applies to retailers. Also it seems uncalled for to issue a summons since this is the FIRST instance we’re hearing about the new bag rule applying to recycling. This wasn’t raised when I reported this issue on Friday.

Well I just spoke to someone in the sustainability department and they’re disputing your claim regarding the bags. Our recycling has also been put out in this fashion with large cardboard broken down and stacked next to the bin and everything else inside with NO issues. But I know I’m not going to get anywhere here so now I’m just waisting my breath.

I unfortunately do not have a direct number. I called the main city line and asked to speak to someone regarding the plastic bag ban and was forwarded to someone in that department. I don’t have the name of the person I spoke with either unfortunately, just a young women who answered in that department.
