Georgia Power has confirmed that the debris is the result of their right-of-way maintenance program that is focused on maintaining clear zones below and along their utility lines. They advise that the debris and dead vegetation will be removed within the next two to three weeks. Unfortunately, the City does not have the authority to force them to expeditie that removal.

City representatives are in discussions with Georgia Power representatives regarding their right-of-way maintenance methods witihin our borders, as the company's current methodolgy is inconsistent with community expectations with respect to aesthetics.
