Description
The city could save a great deal of $ (via more efficient route scheduling, insurance discounts, and minimizing wasted time) if they installed GPS tracking devices on all of the city owned vehicles and equipment. The policemen may complain about privacy but that is a moot issue - the vehicles belong to the city and there is no expectation of privacy. I would ask the editors of the Saratogian to assign a reporter to this issue and investigate as to why the Commissioners have not approved this action.
