This is a disaster waiting to happen. I actually left for work later in the morning one day last week after the ENTER and EXIT signs were changed, only to be caught up in this insanity. Kids walking in between the cars that are waiting to turn into the parking lot to drop their kids off! The cars at the stop sign can sit up to 10 minutes because we live in a NOT SO GENEROUS world today. It looked like the game Frogger and I know most of us parents remember that game. Cosideration of a traffic light is the best solution I've heard so far.

Thank you for posting this Sandee. I am extremely concerned one of the high school kids is going to get hit by a car. Does a child have to get hurt or killed before something is done? There is no safe place to cross and it could so easily be fixed by adding a traffic light. Would cut down on all the cars doing 50 mph on a 25 mph speed limit too!

Its still horrible even with the signs changed.. its so hard trying to make a turn off of Sylvan I understand kids have the right away but sitting at the stop signs for 15 minutes is ridiculous!!! (actually happened to me!) All kids just cross without a care not looking or will run in front of you while turning to turn!

Does this forum do anything or is it just a venue to vent? Does anyone know what we should do to get this action taken? I would appreciate any input at this point. Thank you.

I always drive the speed limit on Amosland Rd by the high school I take that way to Mcdade everyday, I also always allow people waiting at the stop signs take there turns a light or sign would be great here because wile I have patients to allow people to turn and drive the speed limit it doesnt stop other drives from tailgate me (at night flashing high beams) or honking their horns. A light would do this street justice. In fact wile driving home from work I have all most been ran off the road all because I dont do 35-45 down the street

I know Norwood & Prospect Park have enough police on their payroll. How about having them direct traffic in the morning. I know this would require work on their part.

Patti, try going to a boro council meeting or school board meeting to voice your concerns. Sadly the only way I think the traffic light wish will come true is through Penndot

I graduated in 09' but I remember this problem. When I found this forum this is the first thing I looked for. WE NEED SOMETHING THERE even a police officer directing trafic. This intersection is so dangerouse. Not to mention the slew of kids who are either to tired to look where they are walking or just think traffice will bend around them. unfortunately I dont think this forum is taken serioudly because all tickets that I have seen are still open
