Description

There are a ridiculous number of deep potholes all along Montana street, between Fruitvale and Coolidge. This is a heavily trafficked street, coming off the freeway. It's dangerous for drivers and damaging to cars. Why can't the City of Oakland fix this? There have been multiple reports from other residents about this street. Please fix it ASAP.

OAK 311 has received this issue. Your service request ID is #915630. Thank you, in advance, for your patience as we work through a backlog of pothole service requests. Unfortunately the City does not have enough funding to repave all streets in poor condition. With limited funding, our response to resurfacing requests is limited to minor pavement and pothole repairs only. Our Street Maintenance Department will assess your street and determine whether temporary measures might be appropriate. Please understand that this work may be limited to pothole or other minor repairs, and that we have many similar requests. We will do our best to respond in a timely manner. The backlog of streets in Oakland needing pavement currently is $435 million and growing.

Doesn't the city understand that every time we have to report the same issue over and over it it only aggravates the people and causes them to lose faith in their city government. It's sort of like you tell us to call it in or to post it or to send it in and you still don't do anything do you think that's going to pacify us?

I believe it is more not caring than not understanding. The city employees who make up the PWD make work road crew for one could care less how good or bad there short lived pot patches are. Plus allowing PG&E, EBMUD and all the sewer lateral contractors to tear up our streets and not even come close to properly repairing them. Its beyond dysfunctional.

Prime example of East Bay mud tearing up the streets MacArthur between Coolidge and Maple. Is one big mess. I have mentioned before on this site site that maybe East Bay mud and PG&E should be required to repair the mess they make

In my earlier posting in June I believe I mentioned that utility should be accountable when they tear up the streets. A current prime example is on MacArthur between Coolidge and maple. Again they should be required to do complete accurate. Another words fix the street don't make it worse
