Descrição
New gas station opened with entry/exit very close to beginning of merge lane onto Chamblee-Tucker. Curb-cut is wider than normal to facilitate cars turning at higher speeds, creating a pedestrian hazard. Exit is located so close to the merge lane (where vehicles are instructed not to stop), that it is impossible to pull out without potentially cutting someone off, creating a hazard for drivers.
Bicyclists are threatened as cars engage in unpredicable behavior.
A solution would be to have all vehicles exiting the freeway stop at the intersection. This would also facilitate safer pedestrian crossing of the exit ramp.
