Wondering what you’ve learned? The dead bushes are still there. It’s an eye sore in the neighborhood, and a fire hazard. Would you mind following up and having it removed? Thanks.
Last week, Public Works advised that it is not City property nor do they maintain it.
Unless Public Works' Arborist has determined the dead tree a substantial hazard, the City only advises the property owner of the potential issue on their property.
I don’t believe this is on the homeowner’s property. It is outside their fence, and located at the stop sign on Homestead at Walnut. It must be the City’s property, just as the stop sign is. Can you please have Public Works look again? Thank you.
The area in question is not City owned property. California Highways Codes 5600-5610 would place the maintenance of this area upon the private property owner. The City will advise the private property owner of the potential hazard on their property.
