As per the email sent from Customer Service to Dennis Vlasich on Wed 10/27/2010 at 11:01 AM; The tree will be placed on their list and is scheduled to be removed in late November/early December. As they advised previously, replacements are done on a schedule. A new tree will be placed in that location around February of 2011.
Customer Service called Dawn with the City of Claremont with regards to the tree not being removed. Dawn checked their records to see what the status is on the work order. According to the contractor, they are still currently working on the November tree removal list and has not gone into the December list as of yet. Dawn will contact the contractor and get back to Customer Service with a general time frame of when the tree will be removed. She may not be able to get a specific date.
Dawn with City of Claremont called to provide status. Per the contractor, the tree removals were postponed to the second week in Jan. 2011. There are aprox. 40 trees on this list. They are not sure what number that this tree is on the list. Dawn further stated that this is expected to be handled by the third week on Jan. Postponement is due to severe weather conditions for the past few weeks. CS updated SeeClickFix and emailed Dennis Vlasich to advise him of the above.
We are still waiting for the city to remove the dead tree, now rescheduled for February. I don't know what that means for the planting of the replacement tree, since that was originally February, so maybe that is being pushed out as well?
It does sound as though the planting was pushed out due to the postponement of the tree removal. We will contact the city again to get a current status.
Customer Service called the City of Claremont. They are closed on Fridays. CS left detailed message and will expect a returned call on the next business day.
