  TWO WHOLE MONTHS LATER and this still has not been fixed! Why not?
  It's still off much of the time, sometimes flickering on briefly. The corner is VERY dark, and it's a real problem for anyone trying to walk on Faxon Rd.

  The problem has gotten worse. For the last four nights, looking south down Faxon Rd from E. Squantum, NO street lights are visible, street is totally dark. There must be at least one more light beyond the one at corner of Colby that is now out. Dangerously dark!

  National Grid assigned work order #15562502 to this request on August 27, 2013 indicating 7-10 business days for repairs. Still within the assigned window, but will follow up to advise of the initial request made in June.

  Faxon Road is STILL all dark. How many months will this take?!?! And has N G been alerted that there is now more than one light out?

  National Grid indicated that light has been repaired. Referring to Government Relations Representative at NGrid to advise that repairs have not been completed.

  I understand that my question above may be considered one of the more difficult ones to answer. Certainly if there has been no progress, it can be uncomfortable to report that fact, especially given how much time has passed since the city announced its intent. However, I feel that it is precisely in facing our difficult issues that we display fortitude as a city - and that is something that makes us proud as citizens. Therefore, I renew my request for an update on the city's plan to purchase lights from National Grid. It's been a few weeks and I have seen updates from you on a few other issues, so I think it is appropriate to bump the issues to the top. Thank you in advance for your reply.

  The last update that I received was that the Law Department had reviewed the contract documents relative to the purchase of the lights and forwarded them to National Grid for their review and action.
