Pull the shrubs,solve the problem. It is no secret that the city landscape division has had it's labor force cut over the the years and again at the last council meeting. Our council continues to pander to the businesses in this area via Economic Development, yet the businessness are not paying for the maintenance improvements/maintenance. Want contractors to do it? Well you will pay more for that then it costs city workers to do it. You just don'y have a city force to cover the city needs. wait till Ft Monroe comes on line, then you will really pay to have it maintained by contractors. By the way the contractors will take your dollars to pay for their employee medical/pension plans even if they do not
provide such. Know what the costs for contracted labor fees are versus city landscape services are?
