Over an hour so far (since 7AM) there's been an ambulance idling next to Billows Electric on the corner of Washington and 17th street. I've seen her parked here several times before sitting in the cab with her feet up! Apparently she's moved from 17th and South st. as someone else reported.

Clean Air Council works with Air Management Services to target their enforcement efforts of Philadelphia's anti-idling law. Unfortunately there is an exemption in the law for ambulances, so AMS cannot ticket these ambulances. People have tried talking with the ambulance drivers and their companies when this has come up in the past to varying degrees of success. You could try asking them to only idle when they need to, and not on breaks, etc. Thanks for your help with this important issue, please continue to report other idling that you see.
