Something needs to be done to create better traffic flow at each of these ramps. Especially at the ramp that merges into 9W N from 199 needs a big sign that it is not 55 miles an hour and that they need to yield to the traffic already on 9W not the other way around! There shoud be a separate lane made for Adam's traffic also.
this has been an ongoing issue, yes for some reason the people coming off the ramps think the people on the highway need to yield, there def needs to be yields signs coming off of 199/209 ramps
Cars entering 209 don't have to yield to enter the acceleration/deceleration lane over the bridge. That's THEIR lane of traffic. They're already in it.
It is the responsibility of the vehicle *changing lanes* (from the traffic lane to the deceleration lane) to slow down and ensure that they can do so safely.
Absolutely not true Derek. Cars entering 209 from 9 W are NOT in there own lane. If they stayed in the lane they entered from they would then exit back off. They have to move into the lane to their left into oncoming traffic to proceed onto 209. Therefore, cars already on 209 would have the right of way.
Cheryl: Cars entering on the ramp have the right of way to that accel/decel lane. They must still safely change lanes into traffic. But the accel/decel lane is - legally - theirs.
