Description

There needs to be protected left signals at the intersections of Platt Road and Michigan Avenue as there is at Old State Road and Michigan Ave. North and Southbound traffic is heavy in both directions and drivers cannot make left turns onto Michigan Avenue. Yesterday, I witnessed a semi-trailer southbound on Platt Road wanting to make a turn onto Michigan Avenue heading east. A car proceeded through the intersection northbound on an orange light. The truck tried to use his vehicle as a weapon to send a message of anger and came very close to hitting the vehicle that was northbound. These intersections are so busy and congested that we need protected left signals on the northbound and southbound road. Why are there protected left signals on the northbound and southbound Old State Road as less busy intersections? Please take a look at this before someone is killed.
