Manny, you are learning something I have learned the hard way. When another house was trying to annex part of its building and it was a boarding home, i went to L and I. the owner of 2463 Amber st. admitted he was not only operating an illegal boarding home, but also running a rehab. What did L and I do even after this recorded by a stenographer? NOTHING. Same with this place. You would think the city would want to collect taxes but instead they raise the taxes for us who pay. The city could make millions if it just enforced known illegal places like this place, Salsa bar and 2463 and yes, there are many more L and I know about. I think the next step for me is to visit the local news stations and get media involved. I would tell them about 2463 amber, show them the transcripts and really shame the City for not enforcing issues like this EVEN when the owner admits to illegal activity. It is really unbelievable. Any other major city would go for the money or property and resell at an auction.
