If this happened in a town where the residents have a say, like Avon, Newington, Farmington, than this disaster to happen would have been fixed a long time ago.
It'll take a tragedy like a major auto or motorcycle accident for the City of Bristol to exercise judgement onto the Railroad to fix this up. Winter is coming also.
If Bristol can get a 372 extension in place, where are the state and local politicians running for reelection standing on fixing the railroad?
What I'm saying is that it is about time that the Bristol constituents get off of their sofas and get politically active. Bristol residents need to care about their town or it will continue to deteriorate! What ever happened to the Bristol that I grew up in?
Bristol needs a Town Manager, where the professional Town Manager takes care of Bristol's business, not a politician that needs to run for office every 2 years!
There was a Town Manager movement in Bristol but like everything else in Bristol, the concept was tossed out the window with the bath water!
As a former Bristolite, I want Bristol to be successful, but I believe the City got too big to manage.
