Still have not heard a word, not surprising the way things get done within the city, but boy we sure are hearing about the trash system, or should I say as the city council reports the corrupt trash disposal company, again not surprising.

Hi Again, no surprise I have never been contacted regarding the sidewalk. I did contact the building commision regarding people not shoveling snow in front of their homes constituting people walking in the street in our area. I was assured the matter would be addressed, well surprise again the snow is just higher in front of those homes very dangerous on a main street with very little room to begin with. had left a message with the State DOT as suggested and never heard back... Surprise, but maybe a good end. I woke to find a huge possum slattered at the entrance to my driveway, called the city who told me that street is maintained by the State and was given a number for the State dept of Conservation. A very nice gentleman called me back and he is going to have the State engineers come take a look. at the sidewalk. He is going to get back to me, and he also gave me his phone number and name. That sure is progress !!! I'll keep the updates coming.....Linda

Hi All, I spoke with a lovely gentleman from the State who is looking into the sidewalk issue. That was last month. He did give me his phone number which I thought was a positive gesture. I'll wait a few more weeks and then contact him if I havent' heard back. After this winter the walkway is even more broken up and frankly an accident waitng to happen. I'll keep you updated....Linda
