City sidewalks are for everyone's use. When they became blocked due to
lack of the property owners responsibilities, we all suffer.
Please trim the brush.
Categories are for internal City of New Haven use to bring the issue to the correct person or department's attention, and we are re-categorizing this issue for that reason. This includes alerting entities that fall outside of the City's purview.
Assuming LCI might be able to take a look at this and/or contact the homeowner? The sidewalk is almost completely blocked. Westville neighbors will be happy to help if the homeowner is not able to do it themselves or to hire someone to do it.
If it's a rental property, then that's probably the reason for the neglect.
Same problem growing over the sidewalk at 2108 Chapel St.
There are city ordinances in place regarding sidewalks, snow removal etc.
Isn't an ordinance supported by the city, and the city's responsibility to contact the owner?
We are trying to delineate issues that are current and need the city's attention to resolve. Any issues prior to 2017 are being closed. If your issue remains and needs to be addressed by the city, please either re-open or open as a new See Click Fix issue. Thank you.
